Kvm on Ubuntu 11.10 x64 but slow

Hi

I wanted to test kvm. I was set 1 processor 20gb disk space 1gb ram guest os Windows 2008 R2
Another virtualization software took 8 minutes for full installation

same settings Kvm took 2 hours for full installation and guest operating system is very slow

Core i5 760 2.80 Ghz (kvm recognize it Nehalem)
8 gb Ram
Maxtor 80 gb EXT4 / root
Seagate 3 Tb EXT4

Ubuntu 11.10 x64
Kernel 3.0.0-12.20
virt-manager 0.9.0
KVM 84
libvirt 0.8.6
How can I solve this problem ?

Was the entire process slow? Or only certain elements?

How about disk access? Lots of that?

Hi,

All Process was slow. Disk usage statistics are Disk Read 11.5 mb/s %20 Load Disk Write 3 -10 Mb/s % 10 Load. Hdd is Samsung HD154UI Sata Disk it has 166 Mb/s
Transfer Rate.
