I would like to empower my users to disable their email notifications in the event they are on vacation etc…
I have looked through the cgi.cfg and I can allow users to turn off/restart services that
they are authorized for … not sure I want that … seems like too much power for them…
Can this be done… ?

It’s not an option in Nagios. It would take some additional work to accomplish that. Maybe the easiest way for that would be to write some script that would filter outgoing server messages from nagios to specified recepient… I don’t know, if I think of something more
