Monitoring 3G connection

Hello everyone,

I´m using a 3G modem to send SMS notifications by Nagios, it´s working fine, but now I need to find a way to monitoring whether 3G connection is up or down, besides the quality of signal.

Do you know whether plugin can I use to obtain these information´s?

snmp, if your modem gives some info back… or write a plugin and use minicom and AT commands to check signal presence and strength :slight_smile:
