hi all. just installed version 2.8 couple of days ago and came across with the following problem - i create host definition and include there check_command check_host_alive (not as service but as part of host definition) --> nagios always show host status as UP although i can’t ping it. (if i define ping checking as service it works correctly)
does it have smth to do with the fact that nagios is primarily geared towards monitoring services? if it’s so is it possible somehow to hide/remove host status column in web inteface? (sounds more like feature request 
)
