Nagios 2.x on a vserver anyone?

Hi all!

I’m attempting to install Nagios 2.x on a vserver. However, the build stops with:

checking for ICMP ping syntax…

Has anyone else come across this problem before?

Have you set the CAP_NET_RAW capability?

Are you running a Debian guest system?

Install the package iputils-ping (replacing netkit-ping) because this one has a different syntax.

This was on a Gentoo linux system… 8)

For these server you have to need for Install the package iputils-ping (replacing netkit-ping) because this one has a different syntax. Then only it can be work.
