when i run the ./configure file i get this error
checking for C compiler default output file name… configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
in the configure.log i see:
configure: failed program was:

can anybody help me?
which distro? can you post more lines from configure.log file ?
in debian/ubuntu try:
apt-get install libsnack2-dev libc6-dev
