I have just attempted to set up distributed monitoring with nagios. I have run into one small problem and would be grateful if someone could help me out.
Bceause my central nagios server will be performing active checks on some services i cannot disable active checks on a program wide basis. So for the services that will be receiving passive alerts i have set the active_checks_enabled directive to 0 (to turn them off) However, nagios is carrying on to perfrom active checks between the passive checks.
