Nagios XI Install problems

Good morning,

I’ve been using Community Nagios for years now. Our company is blowing up, and we are looking for a better system. Thats were Nagios XI sort of came up and we think it may help us manage our servers a bit better.

I’ve downloading the software ran through the scripts on CentOS5.5 32 bit. It pretty much comes through without errors.

When I try to get in there. I get this error.

DB Connect Error [nagiosxi]: Database connection failed

Any ideas?

Off the top of my head, I’d say you may have missed a bit. That looks like a pretty generic message so the database is most likely missing. You could try to access MySQL and see if the nagiosxi database exists.
