Nagiosadmin password reset

Dear Experts,

Is there any way to reset nagiosadmin password. Our IT has just left and what I have is only root password to a server where Nagios is isntalled. I know it is nagiosadmin but no passwords.

Is there any safe way to reset it and be able to login to server/nagios ?

check the installation tutorial an redo the steps where the password is setup… you will need to find the htpasswd file used… shouldn’t be too diffiult if you follow the insallation instructtions and follow what the old admin did.
