Not able to authorize web interface

I have installed nagios 3.2.0 according to install docs on fedora 9 with default apache version but still i get authorization error when I try to login into the web interface.

You don’t have permission to access /nagios/ on this server.
Apache/2.2.8 (Fedora) Server at localhost Port 80

check your apache logs, are you sure you put the htpasswd file in the right location?
