“Sorry, but you are not authorized to commit the specified command”

I get this error when I use_authentication=1 in the cgi.cfg and try to modify (for instance) a downtime on the webinterface.

The permissions of nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd:
prw-rw---- 1 nagios nagioscmd 0 Apr 13 15:25 nagios.cmd

/etc/group
nagcmd:x:502:apache,nagios
nagios:x:1000:nagios
nagioscmd:x:503:apache,nagios

I have followed the instructions explicitly and tried EVERYTHING I can find or think of. Nothing solves this problem.

You must be a member of the hostgroup for that host or be in the cgi.cfg file authorized_for_all_service_commands=nagiosadmin

I have the same problem, but my user name is a memeber of all hostgroups. Any idea on what the problem might be?
