NRPE vs NSCA vs SNMP

Hi! (sorry for my English!)

I am really confused! I’ve already searched all the forum to avoid silly questions, but my doubts persists.

I’ve my own multi-platform script that will make all the checks I’ll need in the hosts that I have the script installed.

How I can send information (checks results) to my Nagios Server. NSCA? NRPE? SNMP? What’s the best choice?

Attend that my agent script is install in Linux, Windows, Solaris (maybe) and don’t have an Nagios platform installed in the host machines.

Please, give me a guide line! :?

This is a very interesting question. I would also like to find an answer to it, since I have to do something like this for an assignement in college.
