NSCP and network checks like check_tcp

Hi,

I’m using NSCP (aka NSC++ / nsclient) on various Windows Server stations - generally to great success. The one issue that came up recently was that we have a couple of servers with SMTP servers only accepting localhost connections which died. So for these systems, I’d like to do like a check_smtp or at least a check_tcp but from NSCP on the Windows Server itself.

Any recommendations on how to do this? Generally the stock checks work for me (checkDisk, checkService, etc) so I haven’t had to really do any customization of NSCP before.

Thanks in advance.
