When i start Nagios “service nagios start” it runs and is on ‘ps -eas | grep nagios’ for just a few seconds. After that it disappears without an error. If i run it from the command link as ’ /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg’ then it runs for a few seconds and closes. No errors are reported in /var/log/messages or /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log
I am completely out of ideas to try, at first the command file was setup incorrectly but i fixed that and now i still have the same problem.
Any helps, fixes, logs to check etc, would be greatly greatly appreciated!

P.S. I followed the quick start guide as close to 100% as possible.
