I have one nagios contact that wants to receive soft alerts via email, is that possible?
take retries out of the config, and use escalations for the other contacts… seems overkill to me. make a copy of the logs, parse for interesting services and have it accessible through a webpage.
First check how many soft errors you have and ask him if he really will react on all those… i very much doubt it.
