Is there anyway to get rid of the root host circle without assigning a host a parent? If I had to assign a parent to every host my network map would be nothing but lines and very hard to interpret.
Thanks!

yes it is possible… i think your default parent would be the nagios… so dont put any parent in your host…
When I dont have a parent specified in my host definition I get the green circle around the node. What I need is a way to assign a parent (so i dont get a circle) but not have it draw a line to the parent. I just need to eliminate the green circles around my hosts.
i think your saying is the statusmap image? the green circle around the node…
right, i’m talking about the status map…trying to get that green circle around my hosts to go away.
