Scheduled Downtime for Service - Alerts still sent

I think this might be a bug.

Nagios v2.1 under RHEL5.1

I’m getting service email notifications even though the service is in scheduled downtime. The interesting thing is the alert log show the correct series of events (enter downtime, actual alerts, exits downtime), but the notification log show no notifications, even though email notifications are actually sent. The downtime file has the service downtime in it also. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Try to verify your configuration and see if it get any errors.
