I have Nagios installed and configured for a few weeks now and and starting to delve into some of its other features now. When i click on status map or any of the other CGI pages below it I either get a not found message, or a request to download the cgi file. I have looked and the files do all exist and are executable under the /usr/local/nagios/sbin/ folder, but they do not seem to be working. Can someone help me figure out what has gone wrong?
?
Have a look at these.

and then the solution that was posted at:

Look at Additional Comment #3 for the answer…
Also, try the test of moving one of the cgi’s to the default cgi-bin directory (/var/www/cgi-bin).
Do you happen to know the default cgi-bin directory in Ubuntu using apache2?
i just realized what i pasted isnt really relevant to you…
and i don’t know the default cgi-bin directory for Ubuntu
however, i did find that now I am having the same problem as you… i am using 2.9 and trends.cgi, histogram and statusmap say not found.
i did find this for the status 3-d map problem.nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/1_0/ … tinfo.html
nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php? … desc=false
check that out… i think that is the solution to our problems.
Will that procedure break my current setup? I have about 10 watched directories of over 100 total watched machines. I don’t want to have to redo all that work.
