being able to send an SM via a web page doesn’t mean you server will be able to send them… AND i woudn’t rely on the service being always available. (That means by the Murphy rules that THAT service will be down when your network goes down… ).

I’d check with the mobile provider if they have a pay service with some sort of delivery guarantee or install a SMS gateway in your internal network. If the company doesn’t accept modems for outbound phone calls and you need a modem for sending SMS let the policies be changed.
