NAGIOS has been recently upgraded to 2.9 at the server i have to deal with, and from now on, ACK after setting “acknowledge this hosts problem” is removed after 5-10 minutes. Can you please point where should I look for the issue? The external command for ACK does get logged, and comment does appear in comments file

Check out how much nagios processes are running hitting the refresh button on the “Process” page. If the PID is changing, I suggest you to kill all nagios processes and start 'em again.
Can you check the last state change times and show that they aren’t recovering and then failing over and over? Also check to see if the text from the acknowledge gets added as a comment.
