Too many packets

I downloaded and installed wireshark, turned off promiscuous(or however you spell it) code and everything works fine. Excpet…

Since the last 10 mins, its been telling me that my IP (inside my network) is sending packets to another IP but the thing is that its sending the packets off of TCP not HTTP on which there are websites so I have no idea what’s sending so many packets. What could it be?

Many programs of your PC comunicate on internet.
So it is not surprising.
Could be Windows Update which download something.
Could be anything else.

You can use tcpview, currports (or cports) to see which process use a given tcp connection.
