I was wondering of there was a way of using SNMP to monitor WIndows machines instead of downlloading something onto the machine to be able to monitor it. We have MANY servers, and it would be much easier to configure SNMP than to install something. Thanks.
I’d like to know this as well. Doesnt seem like the smarter folks with tons of Nagios exp frequent this site.
yeah, it’s possible. Get patrick proy’s snmp plugins and install SNMP service on windows if it’s not already and configure the community name and your done. Nice and easy.
